Social Media Specialist II



Job Purpose

The Social Media Specialist II will execute the organization’s strategy, content creation and day-to-day management of Southeastern Grocers’ presence across multiple social platforms. Utilizing their deep understanding of the user experience, he/she will develop innovative digital marketing experiences that will drive customer engagement and grow the business.


Essential Responsibilities


% Of Time

Manages the day-to-day maintenance of all social media profiles across various platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc.), including copywriting, posting, creating social graphics, monitoring and responding to fans. Create reports that measure program success.


Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate and produce high quality digital content (e.g. video, GIFs, cinemagraphs, infographics, photos, etc.). Create fresh on-brand creative, while working within and supporting existing brand guidelines.


Construct clear and concise visual design that communicates clearly and supports the organization’s strategy. Utilize creative approaches that will engage the user and quickly adapt designs and approaches based upon constructive feedback. 


Stay current on various digital and social media trends and developments to ensure maximum effectiveness and best practices. Present new ideas from digital and social media world to the team.


Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Tech-savvy with a strong command of digital (interactive, multi-media, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) as well as digital graphic design on occasion

• Experience working with web or mobile based technologies

• Have a deep understanding of both the customer user experience in a retail, commercial or brand agency setting.

• Have a good understanding of brand strategy and how this translates across digital touchpoints.

• Ability to work on a number of different projects at any time, manage time effectively and perform well under time constraints.

• Friendly, positive and can-do manner; team player who enjoys interacting with people and has a demonstrated ability to work with internal and external clients building, strong relationships.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of executives, management and colleagues.

• Attention to detail, creative problem solver, analytical thinking and not afraid to think outside the box.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
