Job Purpose

This role will lead a team of Pharmacy Warehouse Associates to ensure production and quality goals are maintained.

 

Essential Responsibilities

Responsibility

Provide leadership and direction by establishing clear expectations, communicating specific performance feedback and giving timely and thorough performance reviews. Ensure the accuracy of inventory and shipments. Ensure daily production goals are understood and achieved.

Assist Manager with recruiting, hiring and training new hires.

Ensure proper operation of equipment by enforcing operating instructions,  requiring preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs. Identify operations needing development and institute innovations to adjust current work practices and procedures.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

• Experience in a warehouse operation.

• Ability to obtian a CDR.

• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.

• Proficient in Microsoft office and warehouse inventory management systems.

• Ability to operate machinery within the warehouse environment.

• Understanding of regulatory requirements in a Pharmacy Warehouse.

• Previous experience supervising a diverse workforce.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred

• CDR currently held

• Two years of experience managing within a prescription drug wholesale distributor.

• Ability to pass the test for Certification Designated Representative.

Pharmacy: Physical Demands: While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand or walk on tile or concrete, utilize manual dexterity, talk, see, hear, smell and perform repetitive movements with both hands. The employee is occasionally required to reach at waist level or overhead. The employee is occasionally required to sit, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and climb up to 4 ft. Working Conditions: While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee will be working in indoors. Safety Risk Factors: The employee is frequently required to twist back and/or neck, walk on a slippery or cluttered floor surface, work with hazardous equipment and be exposed to sharp objects. The employee is occasionally required to be exposed to loud noise, skin irritants, nuisance dust, fumes and sprays, hazardous cleaning solutions and other toxins Overall Required Equipment: a personal computer, telephone, printer, copy machine, fax machine and other general office supplies and equipment. Preferred Equipment: Shopping carts, unicarts, case cutters, bagging supplies and cleaning supplies and equipment. Pulling Requirement: 100 lbs. Lifting Requirement: 30 lbs.
