Pharmacy Operations Specialist II



Job Purpose

Provide operational support for Pharmacy field to ensure pharmacy programs are effectively executed and operations are maintained to achieve successful outcomes. Responsible for facilitating all pharmacy communications throughout the field. Work with various cross functional departments to ensure pharmacy operations are being supported. Facilitate interactions between field operations and internal teams to troubleshoot any pharmacy issues or concerns. This position will work with leadership to develop internal practices to ensure timely execution and compliance. 


Essential Responsibilities

Operational execution support

Responsible for supporting field operations by communicating, coordinating and tracking operational execution to support the department vision and goals. Work with pharmacy support and operations team to effectively communicate results in a timely matter to meet business expectations. This will include managing internal and external communications between the field and support center. This role will facilitate the collection, collation and distribution of various KPI reports directed by retail operations and leadership to help improve operational execution and compliance of our stores.


Operational reporting and analytics 

Work directly with retail operators to help analyze and report on measurements and/or tracking to attain results to meet department goals and expectations. Develop and ensure compliance on proper practices by the retail pharmacy teams. 


Support Functions

Work with pharmacy support and other departments to facilitate engagements that will assure timely and appropriate actions and resolutions by pharmacy retail operations. Track and follow up on request and actions needed by retail operations or support teams to achieve successful outcomes. Communicate with other departments to facilitate and improve pharmacy operations.


Meeting/Event Management

Manage and co-ordinate all pharmacy meetings/events such as the Annual Pharmacy Managers’ meetings, quarterly business reviews and period reviews, vendor meetings and  training events for pharmacy teams.


Performs other job-related duties as assigned.



Required Education

Course of Study

Bachelor's Degree or 4 Yrs Relevant Experience

Business, Pharmacy Technician and related degrees

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Ability to communicate and coordinate multiple processes simultaneously to achieve solutions/results that meet business requirements.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey pharmacy business needs to varied audiences including management, support team and store operations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred

• Experienced Retail Certified pharmacy technician with a Bachelor’s degree.
