Business Systems Administrator




Job Purpose

The Business Systems Administrator is responsible for administering merchandising business systems and processes that impact retail sales growth and promotes a positive customer experience through correct data set-up. He/she provides support to internal and external business partners to insure business system rules and best practices are observed and maintained. 


Essential Responsibilities


% Of Time

Accurate input of data attributes (WIC, taxes, scales, etc.). Single system proficiency and maintenance. 


Provide support to retail operations to insure quick and precise resolutions to system issues associated with pricing integrity, receiving, and other retail processes.


Set-up, maintain and troubleshoot programs such as compound promotions, electronic coupons, paper coupons, and message tags.


Utilize standard reporting to resolve discrepancies.


Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

• Strong organization skills, attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

• Demonstrated strong PC skills including working knowledge and proficiency with the primary Microsoft Office applications with a particular emphasis on Excel

• Problem solving skills, including problem analysis, decision making, creativity and innovation.

• Ability to set priorities, plan and coordinate work activities and manage time and resources to accomplish work objectives on time.

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written including the ability to address diverse audiences in a clear and concise manner.

• Results-oriented with ability to maintain a high level of work activity under a variety of conditions.

• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

• Strong interpersonal skills with experience in relationship building and conflict resolution to develop and maintain positive working relationships with peers, management, suppliers and other company departments.
