Job Title: Business Analyst III - Mobile Apps/Marketing
Location: Store Support Center

Position Overview
The Business Analyst III will be the primary interface between IT and business partners, including third party vendors. Responsibilities will include building and managing a Mobile App road map, eliciting business requirements and ensuring the requirements identified for a business solution project are comprehensive and in-line with the actual business needs. In addition to successfully delivering projects to internal marketing teams, the Business Analyst III will lead multiple projects while providing guidance and project management for project team members (QA, Vendors and Development team members).
Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Develop and maintain solid partnerships with the marketing business teams, third-party vendors, IT teams, and various cross team personnel and departments.
    • Builds and maintains strong relationships with all key business stakeholders to ensure full understanding of business processes and potential future business needs.
    • Builds and maintains strong relationships with other IT departments and vendors to ensure successful integration, implementation, and support of project efforts.
  • Work with the business partners to identify productivity or efficiency opportunities in business processes and define requirements with the business to create solutions to achieve those improvements.
    • Elicit, identify and document business requirements focused on understanding and prioritizing business needs that will satisfy corporate goals.
    • Leads business process re-engineering, requirements gathering and problem-solving activities to meet the business needs.
    • Perform business requirements gap analysis and root cause analysis against all proposed business workflows and feature enhancements.
    • Develop detailed functional requirements and screen mock-ups based on the gathered business requirements.
    • Recognize and articulate business and technical decision trade-offs.
    • Contribute to the usability and performance of applications by acquiring user feedback and cross-referencing business processes with application usage.
    • Participate in the development of project charters and financial business cases.
  • Participate in technical design and QA test case reviews to ensure requirements are met.
  • Perform pre and post production validation testing to evaluate all mobile application software packages, ensuring business needs are met.
  • Facilitate user-acceptance testing of new application systems and technology.
  • Ensure adherence and support of IT governance and appropriate PMO policies while maintaining strong customer service orientation.
    • Ensure required project documentation is current and accurate including but not limited to as-is and to-be business process documents, business requirements, functional requirements, communication plans, training plans, test plans, scenarios and scripts, organizational change management plans, release schedules and operational support plans.
    • Maintain proficient knowledge of mobile app best practices and adhere to project management and software delivery methodologies (Agile and SDLC).
    • Maintain proficient working knowledge of use case writing, and other requirements analysis techniques such as Agile Epics, Features, User Stories, and Tasks.
    • Assist PMO with the tracking and documentation of the business benefits and process changes.
  • Assist with making tough decisions with minimal direction; act as a coach and influence tactical direction.

Qualifications
Minimum
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in information technology, computer science, business administration or related field and; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five (5) years of business analysis experience, preferably in the retail industry.
  • Demonstrated excellent listening, persuasion, verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex and detailed technical information.
  • Highly organized, self-starter with leadership characteristics, and detailed in project management and project documentation
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Self-starter with the initiative to learn new processes.
  • Intense focus on detail and accuracy of work.
  • Solid organizational, analytical, problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Experience in Software Release Management, understanding time frames for approvals, use of developer consoles, do’s & don’ts, etc.
  • Experience with technical requirements gathering (interview techniques, JAD sessions, questionnaires), requirements analysis (documentation analysis: sequence, activity, state or UML diagrams; prioritization, cost/benefit, gap or traceability analysis) or business process re-engineering (current/future process/data flows, time studies).
  • At least two (2) years of mobile app lifecycle experience with a focus on Mobile First development
  • Two (2) years of experience with agile development (story writing, backlog management)
  • Two (2) years of experience agile tools like Team Foundation Server, Jira, etc.
  • Experience with Google Analytics
  • Experience using automated and manual testing apps
  • Experience maintaining mobile apps (bug fixes, enhancement releases, etc)
  • Experience in the app submission process (both iOS and Android) to oversee and manage timely submissions the app stores (iTunes and Google Play).
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
  • Demonstrated expert PC skills including proficiency with the primary Microsoft Office applications.
 
  • Knowledge of web services/API’s and mobile development (not coding, just how it all works)
  • Knowledge of the general state of mobile technology today
  • Knowledge of mobile UI/UX best practices as laid out by iOS and Android
  • Knowledge of microsites and their integration into main websites
  • Experience testing websites for accessibility and responsive behaviors on all browsers and devices
  • Experience maintaining existing websites
  • Experience working with offshore teams
  • Experience working with and/or managing multiple third-party vendors
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to provide expertise, guidance and constructive feedback to team members.
  • Ability to Manage Team Foundation Server a plus
  • Demonstrated application design and development process knowledge
  • Demonstrated working knowledge taking a business requirement and developing software.
  • Experience with Sitecore CMS, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, Xamarin Development Platform, and Xamarin Test Cloud, and HP ALM
  • Ability to operate independently and manage complex assignments and concurrent tasks.
  • Knowledge of ADA compliance policies.
  • Experience supporting a vendor package and working with the vendor on enhancements.
  • Demonstrated expert PC skills including proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to identify cause and effect relationships and address root cause of problems.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
