Job Title: Auditor, Asset Protection and Food Safety
Location: Asset Protection and Safety

Position Overview
The auditor, asset protection and food safety, is responsible for inspecting and verifying compliance with food safety, sanitation and ensuring operational practices are being executed to SEG standards in assigned stores. The auditor is the subject matter expert in these areas and will provide consulting services and training to store personnel as needed.
Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities
    Fresh Check Auditing and Coaching
  • Inspect assigned retail locations, evaluate, report out and score processes associated with food safety processes using current audit standards.
  • Identify root cause analysis on all failed regulatory inspections and coordinate follow-up to ensure corrective action plans are developed and implemented.
  • Ensure the appropriate food safety practices are followed and job aids and training materials are available.
  • Provide on the spot coaching while auditing as needed.
  • Develop and conduct individual training clinics for store management as warranted.
  • Conduct adenosine triphosphate (ATP) tests and other micro-biological testing required.
  • Work closely with manager, food and safety audit, respond to and assist stores as directed.
  • Provide technical assistance to stores for affective implementation of food safety programs.
  • Meet with store director and key associates, review audit results and assist with action plans.
    Retail Success Auditing and Coaching
  • Inspect assigned retail locations, evaluate, report out and score processes using the current audit standards.
  • Input audit results, to include detailed notes into the APIN database.
  • Provide documented audit results to store, district leadership and manager, total loss, notify the specialist, asset protection, of control break downs or theft activity as identified.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of company policies, procedures and audit standards
  • Report serious deficiencies of regulatory compliance violations and/or occupational fraud.
  • Train department, store, district and regional associates as directed.
  • Meet with store director and key associates, review audit results and assist with action plans.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in business, criminal justice, food safety, sanitization or related field and two (2) years of experience in an environmental health & safety, asset protection/loss prevention or retail field operations role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess a valid drivers license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
  • Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
  • Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five (5) years auditing experience or equivalent food retail experience.

  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time, including overnight.

  • Ability to obtain Professional Food Manager Certifications within 90 days of onboarding.
  • Ability to obtain company provided Food Safety Manage Certifications and train others.
