Shopper Insights Specialist II


Job Purpose

The Shopper Insights Specialist II is the customer champion for all of Southeastern Grocers’ banners (BI-LO, Fresco y Mas and Winn-Dixie). He/She will cultivate an understanding and report on shopper behavior, customer perceptions and preferences to support various marketing strategies and campaigns. This role will utilize various research methodologies and analytics that will benefit sales and performance targets.


Essential Responsibilities


% Of Time

Manage and support various shopper feedback programs across the business to drive engagement and participation with customers. Create survey and program content and synthesize actionable insights that identify strategic opportunities to grow the business.


Create and execute in person feedback programs for key initiatives. Collaborate with internal business partners to gain an understanding of business issues and provide the “why” behind customer behavior.


Develop regular reporting to ensure maximum effectiveness across the organization. Integrate primary and secondary data sources to provide actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.


Prioritize and manage expectations and timelines to ensure projects address business goals and objectives


Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

• Demonstrated proficiency in survey scripting & reporting packages

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to drive solutions that meet or surpass business expectations and deliver project milestones on time

• Excellent organizational and planning skills with ability to manage creative processes

• Comfortable and efficient working in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred

• Prior experience in retail grocery, consumer packaged goods, marketing or hospitality

• Previous experience working in cross-functional teams with a collaborative style

• Advanced degree in Marketing, Advertising, Consumer Research, Psychology, Business, Statistics.
