Mobile Product Manager

 

Job Purpose

The Mobile Product Manager is responsible for the integration of customer facing mobile service product requirements and feature development. He/She will serve as a product owner and manage the cross-functional development process including ideation, design, development and implementation of Mobile Services, with a clear focus on improving the Customer Experience. Serving as lead in the definition, development, solution implementation, and product lifecycle, he/she owns the product and overall user experience for product launches, enhancements and break-fixes This role will drive and exceed customer satisfaction targets, support Mobile Service growth targets, develop product roadmaps and implement each plan on time and on budget. Serve as cross-functional liaison with business and technical organizations.

Research: 

Conduct in depth Mobile industry research to include technology, consumer and competitive trends. Leverage industry, competitor and mobile consumer insights into actionable and practical product roadmaps that support customer engagement and retention that are implemented on time and on budget.   Identify the latest technological advances, such as 5G and dual SIM, to drive and support product offerings.

Implementation

Develop, refine, prioritize and track implementation of requirements for new Mobile services, features, and rate plans.

Assess customer opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and make data and judgment driven trade-offs.  Closely collaborate with and orchestrate efforts across functions and teams, including engineering, UX, analytics, research, and product marketing.

Strategy

Create and roll out each go-to-market strategy in stages. Identify a well-reasoned MVP, and follow-up with iterations to improve and enhance based upon customer responses and market research. Craft short term and long term mobile services product vision that delights users and inspires customers and internal development teams.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• 3+ years’ of applicable experience in product management

• CPG industry experience, specifically in the mobile space required

• Knowledge of mobile current technological innovations

• Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills

• Ability to prioritize mobile feature development and releases based on customer needs, resource availability, and the business case

• Technical savvy and a strong understanding of Agile software development for mobile applications and Cloud

• Experience in consumer-facing personalized products/services preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred

• Advanced degree in Marketing or related field.

• Proven experience in product management in a retail environment. 

• Project Management experience.
