Specialist, In-Store Communications

 

 

Job Purpose

Assists in the development of engaging, distinctive and meaningful communications that produce an intended behavioral/emotional consumer response in-store. Maintains a consistent standard across all in-store communications, whilst assisting to implement innovation and cost efficiencies. The role will work cross-functionally to engage stakeholders, act as a custodian of the channel, and therefore a champion of our customer. The Specialist, In-Store Communications owns specific categories as assigned by the Manager, In-Store Communications. Embodies the SEG purpose ‘You can always count on us!’ ensuring that we develop in-store communications that deliver to this promise.

 

 

Responsibilities

1. Assist in the development, production and implementation of in-store communications; from concept development to campaign execution. Collaborates with the Manager, In-Store Communications to develop campaigns, including the setting of in-store communication goals and channel planning. Is the primary contact for specific category relationships as assigned by the Manager, In-Store Communications (example Fresh, Pharmacy & Liquor). This person will develop meaningful relationships with key cross-functional business partners (merchandising, marketing operations, marketing, central operations).

 

 

2. Assist in the maintenance of the in-store communications budget, ensuring we spend according to the approved forecast. Apply a test, learn, and optimize approach ensuring we maximize every dollar spent. Manages all suppler purchase orders relevant to the projects in which they are responsible for, subsequently ensures all supplier invoices are promptly processed and allocated to the correct accounts.

 

 

3. Contributes to the weekly ‘What’s in Store’, ensuring our stores associates have a clear understanding as to the weekly signage expectation by banner. Manages the in-store signage plan ensuring we maximize the available real estate in-store.

 

 

 

4. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Marketing or related

Education Preferred:

Master's Degree

Course of Study:

Marketing or related

Relevant Experience:

6 - 10 yrs minimum

Language(s) Required:

English

English & Spanish                 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Proficient with Microsoft systems including Microsoft Office suite. 

Experience supporting a multibillion dollar portfolio of brands.

Knowledge and experience with production.

Graphic design knowledge and competency.

Business/financial acumen.
