Sr. Manager of Merchandising Operations

 

 

Job Purpose

The Sr. Manager Merchandising Operations will function as the primary liaison with the Merchandising and Marketing departments to implement new merchandising initiatives and process changes for the stores that drive business results.  Acts as the gate keeper of programs and initiatives to be implemented in the store and ensure no other major projects overlap with other initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

1. This position will be the voice of retail and develop implementation strategy for any process changes or new marketing or merchandising initiatives that must be executed within the stores.  Communicate business results back to retail from merchandising programs and initiatives.  Works through team to modify any processes to align with desired business goals.

 

 

2. Collaborates with appropriate merchandising and marketing partners to fully understand new programs and initiatives and gather content in order to develop appropriate messages or process guidelines that conform to company standards and drive the appropriate business results.

 

 

3. Acts as the gate keeper of all major project execution within the stores through the creation of a master calendar. Utilizes unique store perspective to ensure that the timing of all project launches are executed at the most optimal time in order to maximize profits for all initiatives.

 

 

4. Frequently travels to stores for various events to gain insights in regard to how programs are performing and identify challenges within the stores that could jeopardize project launches.

 

 

5. Provide leadership and direction for the Merchandising Operations team to deliver clear and consistent messages regarding new merchandising strategies or process changes.  Motivate, counsel, and evaluate team in accordance with company practices.

 

6. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Business related field

Relevant Experience:

3 - 6 yrs minimum

Language(s) Required:

Supervisory Experience:

3 - 7 yrs minimum

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Strong store operations background.

Strong background with merchandising and communications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred:

Strategic experience in developing and creating merchandising plan
