Job Title: Director, Pricing
Location: Store Support Center

Position Overview
The director, pricing, is responsible for the development, implementation and measurement of pricing strategies, plans, processes and procedures for corporate pricing, pricing analytics and optimization that align with merchandising goals and overall business objectives. This leader is responsible for understanding and maintaining a pulse on local markets and regional items and will ensure that financial and price image objectives are achieved through the implementation of pricing strategies and programs.
Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Develop overall corporate pricing strategies, partner with merchandising leadership to ensure achievement of financial and price image objectives.
  • Confirm pricing rules across merchandising departments and ensure alignment with corporate strategy and objectives.
  • Communicate with merchandising and executive leadership to convey pertinent pricing information and ensure the pricing strategy is aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with category management teams to execute the pricing strategy, attain gross margin targets and increase profitable sales.
  • Outline category specific pricing rules for regular, promotional and markdown or clearance pricing.
  • Work across all departments to improve the overall price management practices.
  • Oversee the utilization of demographic, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to model and recommend preferred alignment of pricing zones and associated strategies.
  • Oversee execution and implementation of a price optimization strategy that ensures competitive pricing while maintaining profitability objectives.
  • Coordinate with IT department to support pricing system and enhancements.
  • Lead a portfolio of cross-functional project teams.
  • Select, manage, develop, motivate, evaluate and retain personnel in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum
  • Bachelor�s degree in business administration or related field and five (5) years analytical experience in grocery, consumer goods, retail or related field and five (5) years in a management role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
  • Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
  • Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master�s degree in business administration; or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to manage and direct multiple complex projects simultaneously to drive solutions that meet or surpass business expectations and deliver project milestones on-time and within budget.
