Digital Project Manager

 

Job Purpose

The Digital Project Manager is responsible for the strategic project management and delivery of multifaceted digital strategy, emerging technology, application and platform development initiatives. As the project lead, this role will identify project scope, assess and mitigate risks, set project milestones and deliverables, arrange resources and manage internal communications; while ensuring the project is on budget and on time. Through relationships with Marketing, IT, Merchandising and Operations, the manager will develop new strategies and digital initiatives that drive a 1:1 relationship with our customers.

This role will lead both complex and larger scaled projects while maintaining day to day processes. 

 

Essential Responsibilities

Accountable for project lifecycle on digital/loyalty projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external agencies. Manages the invoicing, backlog and resource management activities for the assigned engagements and will assist with the development of overall estimates of time and resources required.

Identify risks, create action plans and solutions that will keep the project on course.  Communicate project milestones, dependencies and risks for all projects.  Oversees multiple projects at once.  As the leader, creates standard processes for project lifecycle and reporting.

Manage day-to-day interactions and manages expectations.  Conduct regular project meetings to include cross-functional teams.

Lead the business development efforts from a delivery perspective while ensuring key project management deliverables are produced such as project charters, project plans, resource plans, risk mitigation plans, change management plans, etc.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Required Education

Course of Study

Bachelor's Degree or 4 Yrs Relevant Experience

At least 3 year’s experience with at least 2 of those in the digital, tech space

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Demonstrated experience managing, reviewing and analyzing project budgets & resources to include change and resource requests,

• Proven experience working and managing multidisciplinary teams both internally and externally as required from strategy, research, UI, UX, Tech, Product, etc.

• Advanced problem-solving skills, and must exhibit superior communication skills, both oral and written; is clear, concise, sincere and persuasive. Is also a good listener and shows an interest in what others have to say.

• Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams and driving team engagement while displaying confidence with both client engagement and operational / delivery management and has a strong scope management and ability to set programs up for success

• Excellent documentation skills & time management skills along with taking ownership and responsibility for work and demonstrates initiative and creativity in all work efforts. Pursues objectives beyond what is required or expected. Able to mobilize and persuade others.

• Extensive experience in digital climates both creative and technical and the ability to measure success of such efforts and has Agile/ Scrum experience working within an agency or design/tech consultancy.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred

• Bachelor's  degree in Digital Marketing.

• Experience with project management software.
